A roof drain is installed through roof sheathing with tapered rigid insulation and a reinforced membrane waterproofing system. Sealant is applied around the drain flange per the manufacturer's instructions. The assembly requires tapered rigid insulation at the drain sump at less than 3 inches to 1 horizontal foot.
