The aluminum storefront frame sits against the edge of a tilt-up concrete monolithic panel. A chamfer strip is applied to the concrete corner, and a continuous sealant joint with a backer rod is installed at the interface between the storefront frame and the concrete. The storefront assembly, as scheduled, is set back from the exterior face of the concrete panel with a typical 1 1/4 inch clearance. Aluminum-faced rigid board insulation is applied to the interior face of the concrete panel, terminating at the storefront frame.
