The assembly features a painted 1 1/2-inch square tube guard rail and mill-finished stainless steel 1 1/2-inch handrail supported by 3/4-inch square vertical bars. The guard stands at a typical height of 3 feet 6 inches with the handrail positioned at 3 feet above the stair tread leading edge. Workpoints are designated at the typical stair tread and top stair tread to establish precise geometry for the steel framing and guard supports.
