An exterior wall assembly features eight-inch metal stud framing faced with five-eighths-inch exterior gypsum sheathing and a fluid-applied air and moisture barrier. The exterior finish consists of water-drainage EIFS with a color-matched sealant and backer rod. An EPDM gasket serves as a baffle joint at the jamb condition, with a maximum joint width of one inch. Interior finishes are specified per the architectural floor plans.
