A two-inch by two-inch wall angle is secured to the stud wall using a minimum number eight sheet metal screw spaced at typical stud wall spacing maximum. Acoustical panels sit on main or cross runners that are supported by perimeter hanger wires. A pop rivet is installed at the fixed side only to secure the runner to the wall angle. Number twelve gauge hanger wires are provided at the ends of all main and cross runners within eight inches of the support or within one-fourth of the length of the end tee, whichever is least, though no perimeter wire is required when the length of the end tee is eight inches or less.
