Suspended ceiling hanger wire attached to an overhead concrete slab. A three-eighths-inch Hilti KB-TZ-CS wedge anchor with a two-inch minimum embedment secures a one-by-two-inch twelve-gauge ceiling clip to the concrete slab. A number twelve gauge vertical hanger wire conforming to ASTM A641 with a Class 1 coating connects to the clip with three wraps typical. Non-destructive testing must locate reinforcing and prestressing bars prior to installation. When drilled-in concrete anchors or powder-actuated fasteners are used for hanger wires in reinforced concrete, one out of ten assemblies must be field tested to two hundred pounds in tension.
NOTES: 1. WHEN DRILLED IN CONCRETE ANCHORS OR PAF ARE USED IN REINFORCED CONCRETE FOR HANGER WIRES, 1 OUT OF 10 WIRES/ANCHOR ASSEMBLIES SHALL BE FIELD TESTED FOR 200 LBS. IN TENSION. 2. PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, REINFORCING/ PRESTRESSING BAR LOCATIONS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY NON DESTRUCTIVE TESTING. 1"x 2" x 12 GA CEILING CLIP #12 GA.
