An extruded aluminum channel measuring 3-5/8 inches by 2-1/2 inches by 1/8 inch anchors the assembly at the sill. Fire safing mineral wool insulation is compressed to fill the perimeter opening. Extruded aluminum Z-reveals measuring 5/8 inch by 2 inches are coped at the top and bottom to engage the ceiling system and enclosure. Fire-retardant treated wood blocking provides internal backing, finished with typical taping compound.
