A four-inch minimum thick concrete ramp features an eight-inch by eight-inch thickened edge with a medium broom finish, set above natural grade and a concrete curb beyond. A twelve-inch border with quarter-inch by quarter-inch grooves at three-quarters of an inch on center is provided typically. A half-inch bevel is detailed at the edge adjacent to compacted sub-base and aggregate layers. A maximum slope of one to twenty is required for accessibility compliance.
