A saw joint is installed at pipe penetrations greater than eight inches in diameter located within a pour strip adjacent to a building wall. The pipe is wrapped with one-half inch foam expansion material to accommodate movement. A sawed joint extends from the pipe penetration down to the perpendicular construction joint.
