A six-inch diameter steel pipe with a smooth rounded top extends upward from a concrete slab and subgrade foundation, anchored to a maximum spacing of seven feet three inches on center. A highway guardrail with a W-beam is mounted to the vertical pipe post. The overall height from the top of the concrete slab to the top of the pipe post is two feet six inches, with the W-beam centered one foot four inches below the top.
