This assembly consists of gypsum wallboard installed over metal stud framing with a continuous preformed metal control joint integrated into the wall surface. The control joint is positioned to accommodate movement within the partition plane. The gypsum panels are fastened to the metal stud framing, which is specified per the scheduled partition type.
