The partition head aligns parallel to the fluted metal deck and concrete slab above, secured with a Fire Trak shadowline runner and Posiklip stud attachments. Layers of five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum wallboard attach to both sides of the metal studs only. Sound attenuation fire blanket is installed within the stud cavity as required by the partition type. Static fire and smoke sealant matches the partition rating along the perimeter joints.
