A continuous sixteen-gauge steel plate spans across vertical metal stud partition framing to provide secure mounting support. Three number-ten pan head sheet metal screws fasten the plate to each supporting stud as a typical installation. Double studs welded at the sides of partition openings receive the backing plate when equipment operating weight exceeds four hundred pounds. Field conditions require confirming the length, height, location, and required quantity of the backing plate directly with the mounted item.
