Multiple steel guardrail and handrail configurations are mounted to concrete landings. Vertical 1 1/2-inch steel pipe posts are spaced at a maximum of six feet on center and anchored into two-inch diameter by 12-inch long steel pipe sleeves cast into the concrete. Each post is reinforced with number four bars by 24 inches long on each side. The guardrail assemblies feature multiple horizontal 1 1/2-inch steel pipes spaced with 5 1/2-inch vertical gaps, reaching a total height of 42 inches. Handrails are positioned at 36 inches above the landing and include options with continuous plates and bracket-mounted configurations.
