This assembly features a one and one-half inch outside diameter steel pipe main vertical post continuously welded to a tube steel stringer, with all welds ground smooth. The post is positioned relative to a welded plate tread, maintaining a three and one-half inch clearance from the tread surface. The tube steel stringer supports the tread assembly, with the vertical post extending six inches below the top of the stringer.
