A six-foot-nine-inch long concrete-filled steel pipe guard post is anchored in a forty-two-inch deep concrete footing. A one-quarter-inch thick square base plate is welded to the bottom of the pipe, positioned with three inches of concrete clearance below. The top of the concrete footing is sloped, and exterior asphalt, PVC, or concrete paving is finished two inches above the finished grade in landscape areas with one-half-inch radius tooled edges. The entire bollard is painted safety yellow.
