A vertical post penetrates a low-slope roof assembly supported by underlying structural steel framing. The roof build-up consists of structural framing referenced to structural drawings, a vapor retarder, cover board, and a directly adhered PVC membrane roofing. A two-piece flashing boot surrounds the post, secured with an 8-inch minimum flashing membrane and clamped with a stainless steel hose clamp. Pressure-treated wood blocking is provided for membrane attachment as required by the roofing manufacturer for warranty. Elastomeric joint sealant and aluminum tape are applied at the joints, and the PVC membrane is finished with a hot-air weld.
