A hollow metal door frame is tied directly into an adjacent storefront framing system at the transition between interior and exterior spaces. Backer rod and sealant are detailed at the perimeter joints of the hollow metal frame, which is wrapped with a weather-resistive barrier liner. The storefront system interfaces with the jamb via liquid-applied flashing and secondary sealant joints. Framing requires coordination per architectural drawings.
