A storefront sill profile sits atop a prefinished sill trim and a three-by-five-inch steel angle, which is referenced from the structural drawings. The assembly ties back to a W12 structural steel girt with clip angles and three-and-five-eighths-inch cold-formed metal studs spaced at sixteen inches on center. The interior finish consists of five-eighths-inch gypsum board over the metal framing. Continuous sealant and backer rod provide weather sealing at the window sill interface, while fastener and sealant tape secure the exterior metal panels.
