A crane rail is supported by clips atop a steel support beam sized per plan, which connects back to a structural steel column per plan using a 1-inch by 1-foot-0-inch by 1-foot-4-inch plate secured with three-quarter-inch diameter A325 bolts. A three-eighths-inch by 2-and-a-half-inch bent plate ties the top flange of the support beam to the column face with quarter-inch fillet welds typically. Two one-half-inch plates act as gussets beneath the support beam, welded with quarter-inch fillet welds. Web stiffeners are welded near and far to the column web in accordance with detail 2/3.S-510.
