Cold-formed steel studs are stabilized with a continuous 150U050-54 U-channel bridging member spaced at a maximum of five feet on center. The U-channel runs through slotted cutouts in the stud webs and connects to the studs using forty-three mil clip angles or sub-horizontal bridging connectors. Two number-ten screws fasten the U-channel to each clip angle and each clip angle to the stud web.
