The countertop incorporates scheduled plastic laminate or solid surface with a four-inch backsplash and continuous clear sealant at the wall junction. The waste receptacle section details a four-inch by one-eighth-inch thick stainless steel angle trough with side returns aligned with the cabinet front opening, alongside a sixteen-inch wide waste pass-through opening. Floor finishes extend into the recess with reinforced metal corner angles at the base.
