A hollow structural section column is welded to a nine-inch by five-inch by one-half-inch steel embed plate using a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld. The embed plate is secured into a concrete wall using two three-quarter-inch diameter anchor bolts with full penetration welds. The anchor bolts are set with one and one-half-inch edge distances and spaced six inches on center. The hollow structural section tube may be shifted where needed at the end of panels maintaining a four-inch clearance.
