This elevator pit ladder is constructed with two and one-half inch by three-eighths inch steel rails and one-inch abrasive rungs spaced at eighteen inches on center and welded in place. The ladder is anchored to the pit wall using two and one-half inch by eight-inch by one-quarter-inch angle brackets secured with one-half-inch diameter expansion anchors. The top of the ladder extends three feet six inches above the top of pit with a bent safety rail extension. Vertical spacing dimensions indicate a one-foot clearance from the pit floor to the bottom brackets and uniform one-foot intervals between rungs.
