This assembly consists of a precast concrete bumper measuring eight inches wide by five inches high, secured to the pavement surface. The bumper is anchored using a one-half inch diameter by twenty-four inch long galvanized steel pipe that extends through the bumper and into the underlying pavement layers. The pavement section includes a concrete topping slab over a compacted aggregate base and subgrade.
