A structural steel stair landing connection features a 2" x 12" tube steel stringer framing into or adjacent to a wall sized per plan with a one-half-inch gap unless noted otherwise. Fire caulking is specified at all wall openings. A welded plate tread is attached to the stringer assembly, supplemented by a 6" x 6" tube steel brace welded to the stringer. A secondary view details a 3" x 3" x 1/4" tube steel stanchion column tied with a 3" x 4" x 1/2" plate and supported by a 4" x 12" tube steel brace. Engineering and weld requirements are governed by performance specifications.
