A cold-formed metal stud acts as a compression strut, positioned vertically above a suspended ceiling grid and screw-attached to the main runner with two number-twelve screws. Main runners and cross runners form the grid assembly, suspended by hanger wires spaced at four feet on center. Four seismic wires align with the runners at twelve feet on center each way, positioned six feet maximum from walls and installed at a forty-five-degree maximum angle from the horizontal plane.
