Cold-formed steel framing splices are constructed using nested reinforcement pieces to join linear members continuously. A top or bottom track splice aligns two track segments over a twenty-four inch minimum length piece of stud nested inside, secured with six number six gauge screws on each flange and each side of the splice. A steel stud splice joins two stud segments using a twenty-four inch minimum length piece of track nested over the exterior, similarly fastened with six number six gauge screws on each flange and each side of the splice.
