The medical emergency elevator identification sign consists of a square plate with a minimum width and height of 3 inches. The sign must be installed at a height between 78 inches and 84 inches above the finished floor at the threshold. The symbol is to be located on each side of the hoistway door frame for medical emergency elevators.
