A vertical hanger wire connects to the bottom flange of a structural steel member through a 12 gauge by 3/4 inch minimum ceiling clip secured with a 1/2 inch machine bolt. The vertical wire is secured with three tight turns in 1-1/2 inches and subjected to load testing per IR 25-2.13. A seismic bracing wire connects to the top flange of the steel member using a 1-inch wide by 12 gauge minimum steel strap bent to align with the wire. The bracing wire is finished with four tight turns in 1-1/2 inches and also tested per IR 25-2.13.
