This interior partition wall assembly is framed with eight-inch metal studs, with stud spacing coordinated per the structural drawings. The cavity contains sound attenuation batt insulation to reduce noise transfer between spaces. A half-inch backer board is applied to the framing face to receive the final wall finish specified in the finish schedule.
