A hollow metal window head and jamb assembly is installed within a cold-formed metal stud partition. The framing consists of a metal stud header or boxed header with double studs at the jamb condition, finished with five-eighths inch gypsum board on both sides and four-inch batt insulation where required. A hollow metal frame is secured to the framing using two number six by three-eighths-inch sheet metal screws per jamb anchor, with a minimum of three anchors per jamb. One-quarter-inch tempered glazing is set within the frame with a typical one and fifteen-sixteenths-inch dimension.
