Five-eighths inch gypsum board ceiling on metal stud framing terminates at a window head. A linear diffuser mounts within the ceiling cavity, four inches above the finished soffit line. Sealant seals the junction between the gypsum board and the window frame. The soffit receives a paint finish; refer to separate exterior wall sections for adjacent exterior wall construction. The reflected ceiling plan determines elevations for the bottom of the acoustic ceiling and the bottom of the soffit.
