A continuous bottom track is anchored to a concrete floor slab using Hilti X-DNI shot-pins measuring 0.145 inch in diameter with a 1-inch embedment spaced at 16 inches on center per ICC-ES ESR 1663. Bearing studs are fastened to the bottom track with one number 8 screw at each flange on each stud. Each side of the wall is finished with one layer of 5/8-inch Type X gypsum board fastened with number 8 screws at 6 inches on center. Fire caulking is applied to both sides of the wall at the slab interface.
