An aluminum door frame sits atop a concrete slab with insulated glass fitted into the frame. Caulking and sealant are applied at the interior and exterior junctions between the aluminum frame and the concrete slab. Exterior landscaping or an additional concrete slab is positioned adjacent to the foundation wall per plans. Flashing and caulking are required for a complete weather seal.
