Splayed seismic bracing wires secure acoustical ceiling suspension systems to joist web members and bottom chords or the deck above. Bracing wires are installed parallel to joists per International Building Code standards and left uninstalled perpendicular to joists. Wire connections feature a minimum of three turns with a one-and-one-half-inch run. Acoustical ceiling suspension wires are tested for four hundred pounds.
