A two-inch wide continuous abrasive cast safety nosing sits flush with the tread and riser surfaces to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. The nosing, in a contrasting color, is installed at the upper approach and all treads. The concrete edge features a one-half inch maximum radius and includes a number four reinforcing nosing bar with one and one-half inches of minimum cover. The tread surface is sloped at two percent typical to facilitate drainage.
