The exterior curtain wall jamb assembly interfaces with the surrounding wall construction using designated metal framing, flashing, and sealant joints. Gypsum wallboard layers finish the interior side of the jamb, while water-resistive barriers provide weather protection across the transition. Perimeter sealant and backer rod seal the joint between the aluminum curtain wall frame and the rough opening. Dimensional callouts establish the nominal opening and clearances relative to the structural framing.
