A single-ply membrane roofing system extends up the parapet wall over a compatible substrate, secured with a flat strap backing. The roof deck slopes toward the drain at one-quarter inch per foot. A hot-air weld seals the single-ply membrane flashing at the deck transition, maintaining a minimum height of eight inches at the wall.
