Brace connections utilize a one and a half inch by four inch twelve gauge angle clip matching the brace or strut width. The angle clip is secured to the structural steel beam and the bottom chord of the open web steel joist using power-driven fasteners spaced at sixteen inches maximum per ICC-ESR-1752. Two number ten screws are used typically to connect the angle clip to the brace or strut member.
