A custom plaster medallion is secured to a gypsum board ceiling and suspended ceiling framing using construction adhesive and toggle bolts anchored to plywood backing mounted between the framing. A junction box is located at the center line of the medallion, accommodating a pendant fixture with an escutcheon. Keys and countersunk holes are cut into the plaster and filled with plaster to conceal fasteners. The overall assembly radius measures one foot seven and three-quarters inches.
