A metal bollard is set into a protective galvanized steel sleeve embedded within a concrete footing. A half-inch layer of grout fills the annular space between the bollard and the sleeve. The overall height of the bollard extends three feet above the finished surface level, with the sleeve anchored two feet into the concrete footing. A corresponding plan view outlines the concentric arrangement of the metal bollard, grout, and protective sleeve.
