Step one requires stripping the wire ends by one half inch. Step two involves applying a Scotchlok Y spring connector in a clockwise direction. Step three is inserting the splice to the bottom of the gel-filled tube, ensuring the connector passes the locking fingers and seats properly at the bottom. Step four consists of positioning the wires in the wire channels and closing the insulator tube cover. Maximum wire sizes per connector are limited to three number fourteen wires or two number twelve wires.
