A six-inch shotcrete wall is backed by a waterproof membrane and drain mat system, with a double layer of drainage mat specified along the lower wall. Crystalline waterstops are detailed at all vertical and horizontal construction joints, and surface waterproofing is applied to the interior of the pit. Four-inch PVC pipe weep holes penetrate the first layer of the drain mat and are sealed to the inner layer, discharging into a six-inch drain tile surrounded by drain rock. A perimeter seal is applied at all membrane penetrations.
