The aluminum storefront frame is set directly into a bed of mastic sealant atop the interior concrete slab. A weather gasket is installed at the base of the frame to provide a seal against the threshold. A one-half inch fiberboard expansion joint with sealant is positioned in the concrete slab immediately adjacent to the storefront threshold. The aluminum frame is shown beyond the primary section plane, maintaining a total width of four and one-half inches at the threshold assembly.
