An aluminum door frame is centered within a six-inch metal stud wall lined with gypsum board on both sides. Wood blocking and shims secure the head of the frame to the partition above. Metal J-moldings finish the gypsum board edges where they meet the frame. Caulk is applied all around on both sides to seal the joint between the frame and the wall finishes. An aluminum door with glazing completes the assembly.
