Main runner channels are fabricated using back-to-back runner channels secured with number ten sheet metal screws and suspended by hanger wires located at each splice with a minimum one-foot overlap tied with sixteen-gauge double loops. Furring channels are similarly tied at splices with hanger wire support. Main runners feature a specific spacing pattern of one inch, three and one-half inches, three inches, three and one-half inches, and one inch across a minimum one-foot-four-inch span. Furring channels maintain a typical one-foot-four-inch spacing at intermediate supports.
