A sixteen-gauge minimum slip track featuring two-inch deep slotted legs with slots at one inch on center is anchored overhead. Powder-actuated fasteners secure the track into the concrete deck at sixteen inches on center with a one-and-a-half-inch minimum embedment. Steel studs fit within the track and connect via number ten sheet metal screws with stand-off washers or wafer heads on each side positioned at the center of the one-inch slots. A three-quarter-inch gap is maintained to allow vertical movement. At jamb conditions, three-eighths-inch diameter Hilti KB3 anchors with two-and-a-half-inch embedment secure the assembly.
