About this detail

The exterior wall assembly consists of Bethal White and Temple White granite cladding anchored by continuous C-channels and steel angles designed for stone support. The backup wall incorporates six-inch metal studs, exterior wall sheathing with taped joints for a continuous air barrier, and foam-plastic board insulation. Two inches of spray polyurethane foam insulation is applied inside the steel tube frame. Interior finishes include five-eighths-inch gypsum board mounted to three-and-five-eighths-inch metal studs. Backer rod and sealant are detailed at the stone joints and the base junction.
