The stainless steel elevator door and frame is installed by the elevator manufacturer with the jambs welded to the head using typical partial joint penetration continuous bevel groove welds. Edge trim finishes the junction between the door frame and the wall finish as sized per plans. A hanger cover protects the operating mechanism on the shaft side.
